The first summit meeting for the Global Open Source Electronic Health Records (GOSEHR) initiative was held at St Edmund Hall, Oxford on Saturday 30th March, 2024. The event brought together representatives from all the collaborating organisations for introductions, a review of objectives and for future planning.

The day was hosted by Naveed Dogar, Director of Engagement at Seven Informatics. She started with an introduction to the objectives of GOSEHR – to bring the benefits of open source, clincian-led, structured EHR systems to countries across the world, through engagement, education and research with local communities.

University collaborators attended from Fordham University (US), the University of Oxford (UK), the University of Victoria (Canada), the Norwegian eHealth Research Centre, the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (Ukraine) and the African Digital Health Research Institute (based at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria). Seven Informatics were joined as commercial partners by Evolved Binary and the Rivne IT Cluster. NGOs were represented by Humanity First and 100% Life, Rivne.
