A team from Fordham University, Seven Informatics and Evolved Binary visited Rivne, Ukraine for two weeks at the start of August 2024. They delivered two workshops to students at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (NUWEE).
The objective was to teach the principles of model-driven EHR and to integrate telemedicine devices with the health record, using cityEHR and the Mirth Connect integration engine.
With the help of students in the class, the team successfully integrated telemedicine devices from kits originally supplied to the Rivne oblast by the World Bank in 2018/9.
Dr John Chelsom made a presentation of the work to the Game City Conference in the city of Rivne on the final day of the workshops. See the slides here.
A big thank you to the students of NUWEE and the Fordham team: John Chelsom. Zak Hands, Jennifer Ramirez and Adam Retter.
