African Digital Health Research Institute in Oxford

A ten-strong delegation from the African Digital Health Research Institute visited Oxford in September for a workshop on Model-Driven EHR and a planning session on the practical way forward for deployment of cityEHR in Africa.

The group will report progress on the plan at the next Global Open source EHR summit, due to be held at St Edmund Hall on April 5th 2025. The plan includes identification of the first sites for deployment in public and private healthcare facilities in Nigeria, partnerships with leading universities and development of prototype information models for the target healthcare applications.

At the culmination the two-week workshop, Dr John Chelsom was presented with the award of a Fellowship of the African Digital Health Research Institute by Executive Director Owajoba Williams Adedoyin.
